CHATEAU Saint-Cernin

Saint-Cernin

Château de Saint-Cernin is a 12th century feudal castle restored in 1875, set in the heart of the Périgord region of France, close to the city of Bergerac. It is at the top of the little village of Saint-Cernin-de-Labarde, counting some 200 souls, overlooking the valley of the River Conne. Out of the original eight 14th century towers, only two are still standing today.

N°1 Saint-Cernin Blanc

N°1 Saint-Cernin vintage 2017 and 2018 are extremely rare white wines produced from a few unique barrels of Chardonnay. The wine is grown and vinified in Limoux at the foothills of the Pyrenean mountains in south-west France, on a terroir recognized by wine lovers around the world. Château de Saint-Cernin owns 12 hectares of vines located in the best rated village of La Serpent.

The wine has a pale yellow and brilliant robe with golden highlights. Matured in oak barrels, this wine offers a very fine, slightly baked nose with aromas of brioche and frangipane complemented by buttery notes. The expression of white skinned fruit, peach or apricot, and a hint of wood, complete this rich palette.

The mouth, round and generous, opens with aromas of fresh or even grilled hazelnut, giving way to minty notes, leading through to a finish with nice tension and a pleasant and surprising salinity. Gourmet and fat, N°1 Saint-Cernin AOP Limoux White offers a perfect balance and a good length in the mouth that can be enjoyed today or even better, after leaving it to age quietly for 3 to 4 years.

The Champagne Wessman One boasts significant recognition, including a Great Gold at Spain’s International Wine Awards and 92 points at both the Catavinum Wine Challenge and Decanter World Wine Awards in 2019. It also claimed a Silver at the USA Wine Ratings, underscoring its global appeal and quality.

Champagne-Wessman

Champagne Wessman one

To create this true iconic Champagne Wessman one rosé cuvée, Robert Wessman relied on top-rank Champagne winemakers and a 19th century Maison located in Aÿ in the very historical heart of Champagne. Aÿ village is one of the rare 100% Grand Cru villages in Champagne.

Made from Pinot Noir (55%) grown in Aÿ and Chardonnay (45%) from the famous Côtes des Blancs this great wine has aged for 3 years in centuries-old cellars dug deep into the limestone.

Its intense and gleaming salmon-pink color is adorned with warm copper-colored reflections. Its effervescence is fine and persistent.

The wine reveals a great aromatic softness characterized by fruity and gourmet notes. Discreet floral hints of rose and hawthorn brings complexity to this very pleasant bouquet. Intense, pure and elegant, Wessman one owes its perfection to the subtlety of its bubbles and the perfect balance between notes of red fruits (strawberry, currant) and shades of citrus fruits (grapefruit, orange peel). Flawlessness, subtlety and length on the palate allow this cuvee to position itself among the greatest champagnes.

Thanks to its roundness, and its delicacy, this rosé Champagne is perfect as an aperitif and very well matches with seafood dishes, sweet and savory recipes, as well as desserts with red fruits or exotic fruits.
